Thorris and Lynell Sandvick love their lifestyle and beautiful surroundings and enjoy sharing their spectacular corner of the West with guests. For over 30 years, they have run Badland Trail Rides in the stunning region north of Killdeer. Their business offers visitors a rare western experience and provides the Sandvicks with a way to make a living in a place they love.

Matched with a good horse and guide, visitors head out on trails that stretch through thousands of acres of scenic Little Missouri badlands.  According to the Sandvicks, there is a right horse and a right trail for everyone-from the novice to the adventurous alike.

The Sandvicks are pioneers in recreational tourism and were among the first to expand their business to include overnight facilities.  Guests can rent one of their secluded, handcrafted cabins or camp at their Eastview Campground. Visitors will likely see a wide assortment of wildlife in addition to the breathtaking views.
